Hall Spars’ range of composite sail battens, HCB Battens, introduces it’s latest edition – the Flex batten – developed as a hybrid of our two earlier models.
All of our battens use the highest quality moulding and autoclave pressure to build battens that are lighter and stronger than our competitors. The new batten is hexagon-shaped and hollow at its outboard end, tapering to a solid batten at the inner end. With this expansion of our range, Hall Spars is now well positioned to supply to the entire market!
To support this expansion, we will also be moving to a new manufacturing model where batten sizes of each type will be manufactured and stocked in strategic locations. This allows us to satisfy an order immediately without having to quote the usual six-week lead time and reduces expensive air freight costs.
